Good to know.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Speech and all your boards work fully offline, on the device. The internet is only used for optional backup and sharing, never to speak.
Is my data private?
Your boards live on your device. There are no ads, and we never sell your data. Optional cloud backup is sent over HTTPS and stored encrypted at rest under an anonymous code, with no name or email attached. It is not end-to-end encrypted. Ask us and we delete it.
Can it speak in my own voice?
On iPhone & iPad you can use Apple Personal Voice to speak in your own recorded voice. You can also choose from the voices already on your device.
Is it accessible for motor needs?
It's designed for access: large targets, high contrast, and a dignified adult layout. Switch access and scanning are on the near-term roadmap for users who need them.
Can I get it funded or reimbursed?
Be careful here, because the honest answer is mostly no. Apple emails you a receipt with an order number and the amount, and that is what you would attach to an FSA or HSA claim, usually with a letter of medical necessity from an SLP. We cannot invoice you ourselves: Apple takes the payment and never tells us who you are. Insurance and Medicaid fund speech devices through an approved supplier, not an app receipt. Plan on buying SayHarbor, not claiming it.

Yes. Export anytime in the open .obf / .obz interchange format and take your vocabulary anywhere. No lock-in.
